ADMISSIONS INFORMATION
General Admissions Requirements
To be admitted to the programs, students must meet the requirements and need to follow the steps outlined below to provide evidence of such eligibility. An orientation course must be completed before an admitted student can enroll in the first course of the program.

Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling

Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology

? Applications must be submitted online at palmbeachu.com
? Official transcripts of an earned Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s Degree from a College or University accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
? Official Transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended
? A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better in previous graduate studies
? Two letters of recommendation are required. Preferably these should come from current and/or former employers, current and/or previous faculty or advisors
? Applicants must submit proof of current and applicable licensure with their application materials. Note: Applicants for the Clinical Sexology program are required to be licensed clinical professionals in the mental health or medical field. These licenses include licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, licensed mental health counselors and clinical psychologists to provide clinical sexology as an addendum to their already licensed clinical practice under Chapter 491 (FS) rule 64B4-7.004, Chapter 490 (FS) rule 64B19-18.002. The program does not prepare unlicensed students to meet initial licensing requirements in any field regulated by Chapters 490 or 491

Ph.D. in Forensic Mental Health

? Official transcripts of an earned master’s degree in any area of Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Social Work

Ph.D. in Substance Use and Addictive Disorders

After all required application materials have been submitted to the Office of Admissions, all applicants must complete an interview with one of Palm Beach University Directors, who currently serve on the Admissions Committee. All applications will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, and one or two faculty members and/or Advisory Board members. An unsuccessful applicant will be informed as to the reason the application was denied, and that applicant may reapply after three (3) months.

The $100.00 application fee can be paid online via credit/debit card or e-check. It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain the supporting documents required for application. Any additional application materials must be completed and mailed to the following address:

Official Transcripts

Applicants to Palm Beach University will be required to provide verification of graduation showing the degree and date of graduation or the equivalency: bachelors degree for masters programs, and masters degree for doctorate programs. Transcripts from a foreign institution must be translated to English and certified by an agency that is a member of National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), Association of International Evaluators, Inc. (AICE), or American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

Official Transcripts and evaluations must be provided to Palm Beach University within 30 calendar days from the date the initial class starts. If transcripts or evaluations are not received from the agency listed by the student on their transcript request within 30 calendar days of date the class started, the student’s enrollment will be cancelled.
