Program Description:
Palm Beach University’s Doctorate in Forensic Mental Health provides students with the knowledge and experience they need to conduct forensic assessments. design treatment programs. give insight into an individual’s mental capacity, testify in course. and assist with investigations. This program is taught in person.
Program Outcomes:
Upon Completion, participants will be able to:

✇ Provide therapy to those experiencing (currently or past) trauma (under supervision or not if licensed)
✇ Work at crisis center
✇ Counsel at the VA
Objectives:
- To prepare students with the content knowledge required achieve success in their trauma related professional endeavors.
- Describe the theories of trauma psychology
- Describe how trauma impacts the brain
- Understand PTSD
- Articulate counseling interventions and acquire advanced counseling skills for working with individuals with trauma.
